Hey guys,
So I recently took the Dog on a trip to Nicaragua, From San Jose Costa Rica, for an International Harley-Davidson event About 500 miles round trip and some riding done in Nicaragua.
The bike handled awesome, the only issue I had was when I first reach the boarder I noticed my speed was not working anymore (speed needle would not mark speed). Long story short the issue was the green cable solder on the speedo board came loose, I had to cut hole on back of the speedo to be able to get solder it back on.
My question is, since the Speedo was not working neither was the millage count and I would love to move it up to the actual millage now that its fixed.
Is there a way to do this ? my guess and from what I read in here is that the sensor counts pulses so if i just close(or open) the circuit a few thousand pulses I should be able to move it up to the 3500ish it should have.
Has anyone done this before?
