sun... he did the VR recall... you probably have the red stud terminal down under all the mess. No more CB, just that 40amp maxi fuse. However, now if it pops, you can't just reset it. You need to carry some extra fuses. In the VR recall thread I linked a few auctions... I suggest you go buy a few. Just in case. May be able to get them from car stereo store as well.

Staffy... yeah, the roll is function over form for sure but I would cringe to leave without mine.

I have a 06 k-9 and my speedo has been acting up for 2 years, I just talked to bob at customer service big dog, and he said that I will have to have my computer connection changed from a round one to a square connector and then a update, and it should fix this he says. It is covered under warranty per Bob

Bruce... he is talking about replacing your EHC from the older serial port EHC to the newer USB EHC. Then they can upgrade the internal software that will fix all the speedo problems. It has been discussed in great detail around here.

Great shot, gave me an idea to start a new how to thread. "How to check your oil" but i figured I better leave that up to the experts here on the board. Oh well maybe next time, got a go back to my rocket science class, its about to begin. Thanks for keeping us well informed.

I was going to start a thread about my speedo when I saw this one. My speedo worked for a few days then stopped. It hasn't work since and my odometer isn't working either. Of course I figured the odometer wouldn't work since the speedo was out. The tach does work.

Is there anything I can do other than just turning it off and trying to let it cycle though its start up mode (or whatever you call it)? Its under warranty so I can get the dealer to look at it in Myrtle Beach this weekend but I wanted to try and get it working for the ride down. Since most everyone with my dealer/service place is already in MB I can't get it done here. Any help would be great.

Had to get my FIRST replacement speedo today and the new one seems dampened as the sweep is a lot slower then the first one ...I'm happy its done and yes I got caught in the rain on the way back ,,,Its just water right?
