Just a quick local observation on ehc failures, it seems that some repairs being done on multiple ehc failures include "sealing" the insides of theamp connectors, cleaning the contacts, then sealing the outside of the connector after its plugged back in.
After hearing this I pulled mine apart and inspected the pins and found a fair but of corrosion brewing, its water tight now!
