Hey has anyone ever fixed this problem or just gotten a new starter solenoid? Went to start the Dog and she didn't crank. Had power everywhere and used the plunger on the starter and the starter engaged and she started right up. Took off the end cap of the solenoid to clean up the contacts, expecting them to be all corroded but it was as clean as a whistle. The small power wire coming from the smaller plug was broken inside of the solenoid. Its tight in there and if I take the starter off it may be able to be soldered but the question is would it hold?
Obviously the vibration took its toll on this wire inside the solenoid and I am wondering if a solder connection would hold or should I get a new one. I just don't want aggravation when least expected. Anybody dealt with this before?
