I've seen that last one with the dog and the horse. That one is legit. He is a record holder for being one of the biggest Mastiff's. Do a google on it.

So many things seem to be real, but are actually misreported or untrue...

Snopes is a very reliable source, I have never found any misinformation...

I am also amazed at how many dogs supposedly weigh over 100 lbs... very few labs, rotties, or shepherds weigh that much without being grossly overweight...

I have had my 218 lb mastiff tower over dogs that the owner claimed were 235 ...

My 165lb Tibetan mastiff looked as big as my English Mastiff because of his fur, and twice as big as his adopted sister who was supposedly 150, but was only 95lbs when we got her home

I dont think most vets that deal with dogs need scales that are accurate over 80-90 lbs... and they dont have them.

My Avitar is my first Big Dog... That's my St. Bernard Kobe. He's 195#'s in that picture. He still thinks he's a lap dog!
