I agree on the update. A intake leak and other problem areas have been eliminated already.

Should not be a reason to with the VFI but yes you could.

A carb swap out is not a reasonable option really and I could have the BDM propriety map wiped out and have map done with the Pro Tune II software from a S&S Authorized tuning center and do the mod's I want but if I am going to go through that trouble I might as well ditch the S&S VFI with the single band O2 sensors and put in another Alpha closed loop system with the Wide Band O2's that can do so much more and is completely auto tuning.
Now we are talking about something that can handle more than a exhaust swap and tune it for the AFR needed to make some power. I do believe in the EFI and my blown cars have shown how reliable it can be with the proper tuning.
There is not any S&S tuning centers in my area anyway or I would of already done it to see if it is in the tune that is giving me the issues.
Seems like it gets a gulp of air and chokes.
There are options out there and I am looking into them.
