Oh yeah, it's on an 2006 Pitbull.
I think they are. How could you loose one? They hold the levers in!

I had a mirror break when it fell over on a trailer. I didnt know the mirror bolt ran through the lever. So I rode without my mirror while waiting for the new ones. The sleeve fell out during that time. The clutch cable held it in place for the most part. If it had happened on the brake side, the lever will just about fall out. Anyway, I was needing a quick answer when I posted this for an idea I had. Since no one knew, I did go home and pull the other side. Searched all the local shops, and came up empty handed. So I just brought it to work and had the guys out in the shop machine me one out of solid stainless.
I would have had them do it in the first place, but with things being slow, it's not a good idea. Management seeing them do government work, translates to more layoffs. But they snuck it in undetected.
