RIDE IT HARD!!!
Hey guys and gals. Had my sissybar pad fall off durring a ride the other day. Luckily I was able to find it. Solved the problem tho. It won't come off again. You might want to drill and tap holes into the sissybar and screw them on through the mounting plate. Thats what I did. Would have SUCKED to have to spend another $300 for the pad and plate, if one could be found. Just a word to the wise!

I had my pad fall off once. When I stopped to talk to guys I was riding with, I noticed the pad just sitting on my fender against my tour pack. Lucky.

this is what I did:

I went to Harbor freight and got some black rubber tape and I put a couple pieces on each side in the corner of the bracket and screwed it tight and haven't had any issues.

I had the same problem. I just used a couple of black wire ties underneath each side. So far so good.

1/4" wide foam, adhesive weather strip between the plate and bar works great too; well, for those that prefer the easy way...

The same thing happened to me, the mechanic at the shop was taking it for a test ride after the 500 mile checkup and it dinged up the paint. The pad was wedged under the luggage rack. I think the mechanic felt worse than I did.

As with yours mine fell off also while in for service, and after he took out for a test ride.
The dealer who has always been stand up, acknowledged it came off during the test ride, but didn't harm the fender or paint, purchased a new one at NO COST TO ME!!
