Sissy Bar Options??? I need help!!

I just got my first Big Dog, its an 03 Mastiff. I want a sissy bar but i cant pay 700.00 for the struts/mounts. Are there any other options or aftermarket brackets???

I had one custom made by Eric of choppin steel in Michigan it bolts to the struts with just a little drilling & tapping he could make any design you want the cost after chroming will run you a little more than half of the 700.00 & it will look a 1,000 times better:up:

So you didn't get the BDM struts? Lets see how that worked out...

you can get eric to make you a sissy bar all day long as i did also,but if the dude dont got the struts what has he accomplished???you have to buy the struts also....i got mine off this site from someone that was sellin a pair for my particular bike..look in the classified section and on ebay..be patient they will come along....as soon as you kick out the 700 thats when they will come ...just fyi i paid 200 for the struts and 125 for the sissy bar

Best option in my opinion is to go with the Daytec system. Very clean and an easy install. I've posted it on here several times, you can do a search for Daytec and find it or just go to the Daytec website.

So you didn't get the BDM struts? Lets see how that worked out...
Gas, sissybar struts were not an option in 03!!

Eric must of did mine 2 days long thats why mine was 300.00 I will take some pictures today & post them tomorrow

Yeah Ray but I want to see how they did it...

I have told Dave many times, that if he took his bike to Eric, I'm sure Eric could think up somin to put a sissy bar on the stock, no holes, struts!

their is a set of side plates for a sissy bar for older dogs on ebay, going for 20 bucks. Just need to build a bar. My need to drill a tap your struts if they bolt the fender from inside. If its from the out side you will need the adapters to make it fit your bolts.

I got a 12" sissy bar I will sell for cheap..Stupid me didnt realize you had to have the struts to go with it when I bought in on fleabay..I aint gonna put it on.
