Sissy bar and pad without set screws fix

I purchased a sissy bar and pad recently and man, that was the best 4.5 hours I've ever spent removing the rear fender, struts, numerous allen and socket heads to pull the strut plates, clean excess wax off of everything, grease all holes and reinstall all fasteners with my new sissy bar. I test fit the pad and noticed no way to "secure" it to the bar without running the chance of it falling off or getting stolen. A member mentioned double sided tape. Knowing how a Dog vibrates and bumps in Pittsburgh with a hardtail, I chose not to risk donating a 150.00 pad to the city fund of lost items (the street) so I came up with this........

3/4” Bore DOUBLE SPLIT STEEL (2 PCS) CLAMPING COLLAR BLACK OXIDE

They hold the pad in place so it cannot slide down and are relatively invisible. I imagine chrome ones might be just as slick if you can find some. If the link doesn't work, google 3/4 bore.......do NOT buy 5/8" because they will not fit. The chroming makes the bar thicker. I found out the hard way!

Or, you could drill taps through everything. More fun.
