Side Covers?

OK I have had my replacement side cover since 2007 for my K-9, I didn't put them on because I just fixed the othes up and wasn't going to use them until the old ones were bad. Got them out today to put on the bike, and they are different. Even the grooves are different in too. I didn't noticed when I got them but what do you guys think? I think they will work but havn't tried to put them on yet. I know some of you all have replaced yours so chime in and let me know something:2thumbs:

Jason....yeah I had mine replaced also....but I sent my original covers to Big Dog back in Feb. of this year ....and they sent me new ones with the same graphics as I have on my bike...so I didn't keep my old ones and get new ones...
I see the difference in yours...but they should go in...the only problem I had was having new grommets in and they were kinda a bitch to get in....had to use that blue painters tape so I wouldn't scratch the new covers..and it was easier because I had my pipes off also...

thanks Dave, I had to lower the bottom screw to get them to go into it, but it is still not going good, because the bottom edge on the new ones had a different bend...will get back with you later...

oh...the one holding up the 2 post that go in the black grommet on the bottom? yeah hopefully they go right in...

yea had to lower the whole bracket, then had to lower the 2 screws in the bottom, but they worked thanks again Dave
