fair play to you wibs

I've personally not shown my bike (although you could say it is on show in the shop doing the wiring right now! - also my other dog (see avatar) just won pet of the month at his vets where he recently had an operation - does that count??!!)) but I know others have and have done well.

I have took mine to about 2 shows... one first both times. But honestly now a days, when I can get out and ride (not as often as I would like) I don't want to sit at some damn show so 4 assholes can tell me my bike is cool. NO FUCKIN SHIT! I would rather ride over most of them.

i agree with gas on this, did the whole car show circuit thing back in the day,i still go to alot of bike shows and the first question when rollin in is "PUTTIN IT IN THE SHOW?THAT WILL BE $20" no i am not payin you $20 so that you can then charge people to look at my shit while standin or sittin around in 100 degree weather, knowing with the wind index of me riding at 60 mph down some cowshit smellin backroad it will only be like 90 degrees out, dont need no one to validate the fact that i have a kool ass bike...and not to mention personally i bought the bike like this aside from some bolt ons and me painting it myself so i cant help feelin as though that the dude that has spent the better parts of his winter or 2 building and fabricating on his own deserves a trophy more than i do............

When i entered yesterday I made sure i got there at the last min and ask how long it would take. I agree I'm not one to stand around all day. I entered then walked across the street for some wings and beers came back with a win for fifty bucks, not a bad deal for parking at the dealer while I go for a beer.

entered in only 2 shows when i first got the bike....won 2nd both times (a guy that has a custome Arlen Ness that he built himself beat me both times)...no big deal - his bike is nice (not as nice as mine if you ask me...but he gets props for putting it together himself). the thing i don't like is hanging around for 3-4 hours until they announce the winner...only to find out that i finished second...wasted time when i could be out riding and declaring myself #1...don't need anyone to confirm what i already know - i have a freakin nice bike. i've never been one to seek confirmation from others.

Big Dog Biker test account
I can only say that of the Big Dogs I've seen, Shredder's is beyond words. He has truely done a fantastic job on it. I don't feel mine is "show quality" although I do keep it exceptionaly clean. Lot of work just doing that. No, I'd rather ride mine as evidenced by the 14,000 miles I've put on it in just one year. I love my Dog like no other bike I've owned and I really like looking at all of them because they are all really sweet rides that display each owners style. So to me most are no better than any other.

I know that more than a few on here have done well at the shows, in my area Shredder keeps piling them on and I understand he took another win at the big one in Carlisle this weekend (kudos to him if correct).

The nice thing is that not only does he show and show very well, but rides it ever chance he gets including have been caught in the rain more than once. So not being a trailer queen, even more impressive to still get the tops at so many shows.

Almost any BD will stand out at the shows in what normally is a sea of HD, including dirty road worn ones like mine and a few others.

No disrespect but if I didn't build it, I am not going to show it. I'd rather ride to the next watering hole with a juke box out in the middle of nowhere. Congrats on winning though.

Thoses trophies can all be seen in the hallway at the local clinic. It is a requirment to turn them in before they will give you a shot to take care of that burning sensation you have been experiencing when you take a leak.

Better yet...that is the poll they take when they determine the strength of the shot!
