Agree.actually they do download and send the info to the factory for warranty purposes, aka if you have what BDM considers too many rev hits they will void your warranty. My service people give me a printout of all the downloded info such as how many minutes at each rpm, how many rev hits and some other stuff. Friend of mine had too many rev hits and they would not cover an engine issue he had.

YesSo does this mean that the dealer submits the the download at the normal services, 500, 2500, 5000 as well as for warranty work?
This is what it looks like. Many threads here on this subject.what is rev hits? and what is normal?

You drinking? This is what it looks like. Many threads here on this subject.

Just hold it wide open til it starts to break up, thats a rev hit. :loony: What is normal....whole new thread :lol:what is rev hits? and what is normal?
Yes, they never do mine unless I ask them too. But if warranty work is completed then BDM has them download it and send it in.well I talked to the the dealer that did my 500 mile service about getting a copy of the module reading and he said that they don't do a module reading unless there is something wrong. Is this true or should they do it for every service?
