This has been going around other boards for a while now and since I know some of you also do your own fabrication I thought I'd post this here for good measure. Be sure to pass this around to anyone who works with metal.
I can't tell you how many times I've done exactly this. I always thought I was safe using non-chlorinated brake cleaner....but after reading the label on the can it looks like it's just as bad.
Point is, the chemicals we work with are dangerous and we should treat them with the same respect as any other tool in our shop. I'm not trying to call the safety police on anyone but emphysema?? fuck that shit
