:flag:Has anyone else had problems with their VFI module on their bike. mine has gone through a few of them. I checked the wire harness and everything sugested by S@S and can find no reasonable problem to be killing these other than vibration.!:bang::angry:

I had 20000 miles on the bike with no problems with the VFI. Wish I could suggest something other than sending the module to S&S to have them analyze it..
Possible wire grounding out somewhere? Any mods to the bike that would affect electrical?

Tom,

Have you changed your voltage regulator since owning the bike?

Wonder if the regulator is allowing too high of charge voltage.

See if you can add some vibration isolation somehow. Once isolated you may need to run a ground wire back to the S&S module if it used frame mount grounding.

I have.

But to be fair the previous owner did a WP conversion and that may have contributed. The WP dose not suit well to the EFI bikes.

One of the issues is the WP kit does not provide battery power to the VFI module. So its like ripping the power out of the wall of your computer in the middle of exiting a program.

Verify you have Battery power to module at key off.
