I'm thinkin about installing new S&S dual runner, I have a 2005 Chopper DT with a XXX E carb and Vance&Hines BR pipes does anyone have this setup and what did you use on jetsizes or if you left the same jets in? THANKS, Dad who has time on his hands to start working on bike again since daughter is getting older now!

Thanks Mo for the info. How is your bike running,no stumble on the throttle without the rejetting? I dont have the 600 cam just the basic that came with the bike. I'm ready for one of these....

Yeah, I wouldn't think you will have to worry about jetting if you already have the Triple X. May have to adjust the air/fuel but that's about it.

Well men i'm at a crossroad and i dont know which way to turn! Installed the S&S air intake today, Bike hesitated in first three gears bad, pulled over adjusted the air/fuel mixture screw got it at set point; took off and stumbled in first went threw 2nd and third fine. I figured i'd take a stab at the accelerator screw to see if that would help but still getting stumble? Am i getting more air now and need to put a higher main jet in? I'm not a pro at this but trying to understand this carb they are fairly easy. XXX came from bob with no issues and it ran fine with stock aircleaner now this S&S is getting the best of me! Help please what are your guys thoughts, I know this subject has been dragged out many of times but i dont want to take it to the shop yet! Thanks Joe....

Just rode mine today after some repairs and Paint... One of the things i installed was the S&S dual runner intake..:2thumbs: "Now i also have the .600 cam and re-jetted the carb back when the cam was installed in 08". I noticed absolutely no problems.. actually felt more responsive :2thumbs::2thumbs: But that might just be from not riding it for 2 weeks......

you might need to adjust your air bleed jet. witch is the same as the main jet just not the same size. that will help with when the main jet kicks in.. you might want to look at your plugs to see if your running rich. best to talk to bob good guy hez helped me alot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! runs great

Thanks for all your insight guys i fixed the problem. Got rid of the vent hole plug and i put a rubber gromet over the brass fitting on the backing plate of the air cleaner figuring to keep dirt out of it. But the brass vent has channel in the plate that goes down to the carb this caused it to run like shit no ventilation from the bowl. Called Bob at triple xxx helped me out alot good guy! Thanks again...sometimes it seems like its always the simple things that slow you down! Stupid vent hole!
