when looking on ebay for an s&s air cleaner most dont have a part # that the seller knows and they reference a number inside the cover like 380 or 376. since our backing plate doesnt need to be replaced and i want the cover only as long as it fits a g carb will any fit? and do i need to change the breather if i only change the cover? thanks in advance for any help:up:

To the best of my knowledge (and I am assuming you mean the desperado air breather cover)
Like this, it will fit your stock breather and backing plate.

yea the teardrop style. are there certain part #'s or will they all fit and is there a sure way to identify a g carb cover by the # inside cover?

Mine is an 07 K9 and they are the same as yours it will fit. There is only one that I am aware of.

after looking at the cone or spike filter prices & hearing about the S&S filter fitment, I cruised the pages and came across what turned out to be a sweet deal. originally this started out as 2 pieces for sale.the cover was 65.00 BIN & the back plate was priced at 25.00 for a total of 90.00 plus shipping so I messaged the dude & offered him 80.00 for both & he agreed & the deal was closed.it arrived yesterday & when I opened the box,my jaw dropped, he sent me both the original S&S cover and the updated version with the air slots in the cover ,the backing plate and the filter and the bracket all for 80 beans ! :2thumbs::eek::flag:
