never installed 640 cam with gear and springs

triple wound red stripe springs with collars and retainers, no shims.

satisfaction guaranteed!

bump your compression to at least 10.5-1 and hold on! :whoop:

this is the oem set-up from S&S for their 124 SSW+ motor

with this cam, springs, ported heads, zero deck, 10.8-1 compression i'm over 120 hp/tq.

Is that on a 117?
yep 117.

i'm probably closer to 130/130 with the psi carb but haven't dyno'd since.

with the right compression its a blast to ride. grabs reasonably quick but vicious at higher rpm's. with my ignition set at 6500 this cam pulls hard to it. also its actually real quiet valve train with the torco 60 oil.

only cam that would compare is the woods w9f. but that's tougher to set up clearance wise and has more valve clatter.

but its worth all the effort, louder pipes make the clatter bearable.no fluffy designer cam for me:lol:
