S&S 107 Short Block for 4.0 X 4.25 in. bore and stroke.

I have 99 Prosport, 107ci S&S, 4.0 X 4.25 in. bore and stroke. Was riding it a couple of weekends ago and all of a sudden it went to clattering which I at first thought it sounded like clatter coming from the top of front rocker box. Then all of a sudden it was in the lower part and I mean bad and it shut down. Had to trailer it home about 60 miles. I think the motor is trashed and it may be cheaper to find a short block. Naturally when removed the oil filter it was full of metal shavings. Got it mostly stripped down with exception of removing and splitting the case. Rockers are good and so are push rods. Once we got rocker boxes off and then the Jugs, Both pistons are trashed, pretty rough all around. Top of pistons are ok. Rear Piston front bottom part is bent in and missing the wrist pin clip and of course the cylinder wall has a deep groove in it. . . After removing both jugs. the connecting rods on the crank were just slopppy and floppy as can be, I mean bad!!! So that explains the terrible noise in the lower part. when pulling off the Cam cover, it looks like sensor had melted because there was a yellow puddle of what looked like a dark yellow melted wax. So it looks like it was damn hot. Looks like only things remain in good shape are the heads and rocker boxes. Valves and springs were intact and ok..

My question: anyone know if where I could find a new S&S short block, 107ci for a bore & stroke 4.0 x 4.25? It's probably a cheaper route even though THAT is expensive. Any ideas??

You can use an Ultima complete 107", or 113" engine for less than an S&S engine, or parts to fix your 107" They're every bit as good.

Try Derek And Donna they may have what you want. They have way more than what they show on their eBay if not how about a complete good used motor.6628C306-463A-4240-83F2-A41DA4C57AD0.jpeg45385662-1DB1-45B3-AFF7-C7F694117B45.png0CB7E25C-E466-4467-8EB5-8CA3163B3FD2.png

Complete motors

Didnt get to finish the complete tear down. Will finish that this weekend. Still have to get the crank out and see how it looks.

Can someone provide me a contact or how to get in touch with someone that is knowledgeable bout the 107" S&S engine tear down. The crank has to be rebuilt and I have not been able to get it split. I greatly apreciate any assistance.
