rubber mount under front of tank

can someone tell me how to remove the chrome bracket out of the rubber crommets on the front of the tank plzzzz...i dont see how the bracket comes out and im stumped????/

I don't remember any bracket under there. You talking about tank mount or the center console mount?
I'll have to review my old 03 pics but seems to me it was pretty easy but I haven't had that bike for a long time.

That's what I'm thinking, should pop right off. What I don't understand is the plate he is referring to unless he's talking about something under the dash!

just taked him through it on the phone,, had to remove the dash to access the mounts...all good now..

I've got an 03 pit and have had my tanks off several times and still can't figure out what he was talking about. Doesn't matter now though does it.
