My old stompin' grounds. I lived most of my life in Colordo (all my grade school years near Salida which is not far from most of your picture locations).

Hard to beat living in Colorado! Thanks so much for the great pics!

Great photos. BTW, how did the Dog run at 12,000 ft?
Ran fine. I ride in the mountains all the time...but not usually at 12,000 feet! My bike is carbureted and I actually thought I'd get some coughing and spitting...but all was good! I did have decel pop coming down. A lot of coasting and braking coming off the top.

How did you park on this hill?:eek:
Was on a curve. Road actually slanted down a little. This is just south of Redstone Co. before the turnoff for Marble. A small rally in Redstone last weekend for vets.

yes we were within about 10 miles from Salida.
I'm a Colorado native...and agree...hard to beat the beauty and living of this state!:2thumbs:
