rocker boxes

I want to look into swapping out my rocker boxes for S&S. I know a few of you have done this and some who haven't will know the answer. Do you have to replace all the rocker gear inside as well or do you just need the boxes / gaskets etc? I'm also going to stick the stock size valves in there. Have it as it should be.

Also does anyone know a good place to get this stuff - I'm struggling to find what I need. I know they are TC style and I think I found some for a TC88 but guess they won't fit.

Think I'm also going to go with limited travel lifters too. Again, any suggestions on where to get these would be much appreciated.

Thanks gents - ladies too!

Lee,

If I understand the TP problem correctly, it is really an alignment problem with using TP roller rockers on S&S heads. The least expensive fix is to replace the roller rockers with S&S or or something equivelent. Somebody may want to correct me on this.

Personally I replaced the whole rocker box assembly with S&S chrome units. Have been running happily ever after. This is rather expensive and S&S gives the dealers very little discount. I went through Wicked Bastard when ordering mine.

the box should come with rocker mounts and gaskets. you'll need the rollers and the shafts. S&S or JIMS's

you could reuse the rollers but i'd sell it as a complete unit on ebay.

the tc rocker box isnt bore specific so the tc88 will fit. IMO

got mine on ebay for 1/2 price with a slight imperfection.

the limiters you can buy and install in your lifters. 1 2 3

but then your rod adjustment is different which i'm sure you know
