Ridgeback Clutch Pulled In - Wheel Turns ?

Energy One
Hey Guys
Is the wheel suppose to be free spinning when jacked up & clutch pulled in ?
I can't turn it in first gear but can in 6th and can feel the clutch engage when I let it out.
Is this normal ?
I just replaced the cable and followed the factory service manual with the rod lightly seating, half turn out and then adjusted the cable to take up the slack and locked the rod nut down , did this 3 times with the same result.
Thanks for the help.

Half turn out may be too much. Its just a guide. Play with it to find the sweet spot for your bike. Just my .02

Thanks for the replys , i guess I'll be all over the front brake when starting for the first time since last october.
I can turn it 6th gear but its not easy, forget the other gears.
Thanks

Yes, sure there is some resistance, you are turning the tranny too, but tire should turn easily with a few fingers
:agree: Like Tapio said, if clutch is pulled in, tire should spin because the transmission is disengaged...may have slight resistance.
