Ok I have been reding thread after thread. I am getting new tires I have Avon venoms now but I dont like the reviews on the new cobras. My mechanic is saying he is having good luck with the new Dunlop elite 3. I run a 250 rear and a mh90-21 in front. My question is could I run a 90/90-21 or even better a 120/90-21 I will be replacing my front fender anyway so that width wont matter my only guess would be wheel limitations. Is this correct.

Which hardtail do you have? The Pitbull takes a MH 120/70-21 while the Ridgeback takes a MH 90-21.

A wider front tire is supposed to handle better with a wider rear tire. either way when you get them installed, take it easy until you get to know your new tires. My handling changed when I replaced the rear with the same size just because the new tire was round where the old was flat in the middle because of wear.

Mine is a custom build Carolina rigid. Motor,Trans, wiring, and controls were from a ridgeback everything else is custom build.

I just had my 250 rear tire replaced today, and this is my third Avon Venom.
I have no complaints, I get about 10,000 miles on them before I feel the need is there to replace them. I just turned 40,000 miles and haven't had any problems

you may still be able to get them, but take into consideration they have not been made in almost 3 years so what you are buying is already old stock.

Rob, that's a beautiful pic. That's a POTM submission if I ever saw one. Where was that taken as the backdrop is as beautiful as the bike. :2thumbs:  :flag:

I run the elite IIIs on both front and rear 04 ridgeback no issues except a very slight rub on the front tire only rt turn while walking the bike. Have 4000 miles on them now and they still look new.

MY bad they're NOT Venom's they're Cobra's, must've had an Lsd flashback.
The bike came stock with Venom got 18k miles no problem.
Last two sets were Cobra again no problem.
Thank's for comment on picture, bike was POTM May 2011. Picture is from out here in Vegas at Red Rock Canyon Park run by The Bureau of Land Managament, one of many here. I found this region out here made for riders, one of the main reasons I moved here from NY. in 2005. I ride year round :hi::2thumbs:

I'm an Officer at the Palms Casino.
Most parties are invite only, but the Sports book or the bars are a great place to watch the game.
They all have the atmosphere, booze, women:eek::eek:
