This seemed to be a great new thread to start. I have been looking into rotors because the chrome is going south on mine.

These are available in Gold, light Gold, and chrome in the order pictured below. Atomic Forged... Sounds like something that will last anyway!

I am making some calls this week on these:

RayGun Technology™

These caught my eye because I thought that the chrome and gold ones would look bad ass on my orange bike. That and the finish is lifetime warranty!!!

One question I did not ask was how loud will the brakes be under normal use.

Since I have a touring bike and not a crotch rocket, my brakes never stay at a good temp.

So every now and then, they will make this hideous grinding sound when I stop.

To fix it I have to clean them out by braking hard three or four times form 40 MPH.

The next set of pads will be a little less race and more street to rectify this issue.

Other than that, I like the look and performance of what I have on my bike.

Rear Brake Disc to Drum

Anyone have experience with removing the rear disc and going to a drum? I'm thinking the braking power I'll loose I'm not using anyway. I want the open rim look as close as possible without going to a single sided swing arm, unless of course someone would like to donate one! :D
