I have a 2005 Chopper and am wondering what the battery life is? Also, can anyone recommend a good replacement? The existing one is an AFM (maint free) with a CCA rating of 270. Thanks!

I had brand new Interstate AGM 310cca battery in my bike the last time that the EHC failed.

BDM said that they would not warranty the EHC if I put another Interstate battery in it and I had to buy the BDM battery from them at the time that the EHC was replaced. :bang:

I just heard the other day that BDM is going in with Interstate as a supplier for their new bikes batteries. WTF!!!!

I want my Interstate back!!!!

Interstate 3yrs no problems. But from experience, the slightest acting up and its replaced. probly with another interstate! The factory battery didn't make it 2 yrs. But I wasn't able to ride much and wasn't using a tender-I'm sure thats why it died.

I was driving 55mph at night and it shut down right now!!! no lights or anything, good thing I was on a straight road at the time.

The battery internally shorted itself out!

I had two (2) Interstate AGM 310cca batteries short internally in 2 months! Just went dead to the world going down the road!

My charging system I think, took a shit today. Had to push start it. I hope it this 3rd battery. It is less than 3 months old.

Thanks to all for your advice. I've done a little more reading and think the Yuasa 310CCA is what I'll probably go with. Never heard of them until Cephus' post.
