After three weeks of gold mining for the year thought i would take the wife up to reno for the weekend.
Just got home and wish i was still there, 5000+ bikes one dog spotted, and a shit load of people having a great time.
My dog is still in the kennal till nov at least, didnt need a bike there, got around just fine in the little womans toyota.
Total weekend expenses about 5 bones but that covers everyting form the wife gambling to a george thorogood concert (basment of the silver legacy).
The chicks, jeses h christ, to be single again.
Still thinkin about the V8 chopper(s), the wife is good to go with it, but fuck@
61K is a shit load of "payments".......

Wish it was still all in Reno I don't like the sparks location. Meeting Mondo from Denvers choppers was cool. He was great to talk to.

We also had a great time at Reno, stayed at the El Dorado like usual, but like Old Fool I am really dissapointed that the whole event is now scattered over the whole damn state of Nevada :)
I honestly think that "the Strip" is dieing a slow death, sad but true.
Saw lots of friends that we dont get to see often down there, but all of us have come to the conclusion that unless something changes, next year we wont be going back.
It was nice to see the "NO COLORS" signs everywhere. That part was GOOD. Those people need to come to the conclusion that we cant be kicking the crap out of "each other",,, there are PLENTY of people who deserve a good ass kickin but beating and shooting each other makes NO DAMN SENSE..
Only saw one other Dog down there to. Didnt see a Toyota with a Miner Mark in it either though, and sounds like there was one of those right next door :)..

Im workin on it, i will likely keep the dog when the shop is finely done with it.
Wife is fine with that too, so will continue to make payments on it, what the hell.
Will be riding local but no more freeways, not on this bike anyway.
That last ride was too dam close.
I now refer to my experience as "Three wobbles and a wake up"
As in three wobbles and a wake up in the trama ward ......

I live in Reno, so it's a short trip for me. ;) Had my 04 Chopper downtown Friday night, had it in Tahoe, Carson City, and Virginia City on Saturday. Only Dog in a group of 6 bikes, so I kind stood out. :D Great weekend.

I live in Reno also. I always try to cruise both the Reno and Sparks locations. In the old days Virginia Street in Reno was the only place to be, but lately Sparks had been putting on the better "participant" event. IMO. Now Reno, Sparks, and Carson City are all competing to get the crowds. Regretfully the 1%'s had decided to use the event last year as a battle ground for their pissing contests. The only way they could enforce the "no colors" rule was to move the Sparks event onto private property and off the city streets. Was only able to make Saturday this year with my k-9 due to illness, but did see a Ridgeback parked under the overpass in Sparks, and a buddy had his BDM 05 chopper set up for some pics with a model. Everybody seemed ok with the "no colors" rule...so far.

I never made it to Sparks, but I heard that it wasn't as good in the parking lot. Speaking of colors, I did see a couple of Hell's Angels down at Carson Harley. No one seemed to care. :confused: Ah well, I have no fight with those guys.

Brew,not the way tommy ment it, we have had some beers together here in norcal, he just wants me to get my ass back on the dog, and im happy to do it when i get it back.

I stopped by the dog pound yesterday, sitting on the floor was my frame with motor and trans....thats it, they are waiting for the "New" swing arm so they can do a total repaint, im thinkin november at best.
I did bribe a neighbor kid with a beer the other day, took his dirt bike and tore up the hood......

Hmmmmm. Sounds like it's going to be longer rather than sooner. I'd get a list of shit needed and broadcast it to this forum.
