Removing scratches on head fins???

Anyone use sandpaper to remove lite scratches on their head fins? If so, what grit and list the steps you take. If not, what do you recommend? The scratches are not bad by any means but I'd like it to look as close to perfect as poss. It looks like something brushed up against or fell on the bike when it was on it's stand.

i would suggest 1500 or 2000, nothin courser then 1000.

I 2nd that, i use 1500 on any scratches or gouges then i finish up with 2000.of course i use a buffer with mothers aluminum polish or wizards aluminum polish.

You can also start with chrome polish then move to aluminum polish, Chrome polish is courser so be careful…:2thumbs:
