removing graphix on air cleaner/horn cover

anyone do this? How do you get the etching of without hurting the chrome?

Not sure, but J&P cycles has the air cleaner covers in their catalog with out etching. Just the chrome finish. Part number 402-070 $62.99.

Those logos are electrically etched in the chrome, so there is no removing to them.

I was thinking about it...just didn't want to get to colorfull....I like either all chrome polish or all paint...its hard to get a perfect blend of both

I had mine sand blasted and then painted a deep blue/purple which is the color that runs down the top from the neck to the taillight area of my bike. Most people just think my bike is blk & wht. The coil cover is a little dark against my jugs (coated blk) but the 117 pops out. What yall think?
