REAR WHEEL OFFSET NORMAL OR NOT ?

In regards to the rear tire, should the distance between the inside of the rear fender (where the rear taillight bolts are) be the same on both sides. I had a tire replaced and it is closer on the right side than on the left. Never noticed it before. Also how much space should be between the underside of the rear chain guard and the belt, mine is really close. what is Normal ? Thanks for the help.

I put new wheels and tires on my 07 k9 and it is now off set to the left just a bit. I played with the spacers as much as possible but can't go to the right anymore because of the belt hitting the front guard. this is looking from the rear. My only option now is to have some of the inner face of the rear pulley machined off to get it closer to the wheel/ tire. Look at the two spacers on the left and see if they put them in the wrong place.

I put American Wire Wheel 80 spoke rims on my bike .
It took alot of work getting the rear rim to fit . I had the same problem
with the rotor/calliper on the right side and the pulley on the left -
went threw quite a few spacers getting it as close to center as I could .
My tire is about 3/16 to the left side of the swing arm . Barely noticable
when looking at it but I know its there. I don't know about the handeling
any different because its always been that way .

I also forgot to mention that I had a karata 4 inch primary installed so maybe others that have that could chime in. Thanks

Mine is the same....closer on the right than left. Chain guard is also close to the belt at the rear.

Thanks guys, took it to the shop and we put a micrometer on it and everything is straight. Just never noticed it before had me worried.
