I paid almost 600 for mine as well. But if it's as good as it's suppose to be I'll never have to buy another pulley and that's worth it to me. After buying two pulleys at 300 a pop over the last 5 years, I decided to have mine redone instead this time. My 3rd pulley was razor sharp when I sent it in and came back nicer than ever, it took almost a month but was worth it. I can't say anything about how long it will last as it's only been a few months now, but it looks great, and feels the same as it did before but now I don't have to worry about slicing my belt anymore. I've been through a few of those too over the years. The last one left a big bruise on my wife's leg when it snapped cruising at 70....so I just bit the bullet and dropped the $$. damn worn pulleys
