I've read allot here about the vibration on the K9's and numbing of the hands.
How bad does it get and at what RPM range does it get worse?
Also I've read how the mirrors are blurry at speed and hard/impossible to see what's behind you.
Just wondering how it is

Dosen't have to be the K9's only any other BD please comment.

Rigid engine mounts on these do translate to mirror distortion. However, depends on your mirrors. I have good mirrors ($) and I can see with them. Not perfect, but for what they are. I have NEVER experienced numbing of the hands myself. I have however experienced high heart rate, severe adrenaline over doses, and hottylookinatme syndrome....And stickinoutinapackidis..... just sayin.

I've never has any trouble with hand fatique or seeing out of my mirrors. I feel most of the vibration through the pegs. Check the handle bar mounting bushings. They have udpated them to a poly material that doesn' wear out so fast.

First you need to numb the brain a little and then it really doesnt matter:cheers:. If that doesnt work for you the numbness really doesnt hit for me at all. Cruisemate has taken alot of the issue away.

RPM doesnt really effect as much as sustained speed.

The only time I experienced hand problems is when I hang on to tight & I don't do that anymore, as far as mirrors the stock ones are great but don't look so koool so I went to the kooool aftermarket mirrors and deal with it

I ride my '05 Chopper a lot (64,400+ miles!), and have never had numbness of the hands. Notice it more while accelerating, but once cruising, one can usually find an RPM that has minimal vibration.

As for mirrors, I replaced mine with ones with convex mirrors, and that helps a bit. Can see pretty well behind me... just can't quite make out enough detail to tell if that's a cop behind me or not. :D

HELL YES!!!!

the only vibration on my K9, comes from the right foot peg. For looks I went with aftermarket mirrors but stock ones are better on the road. Just my .02

I think most owners of a Big Dog Motorcycle will agree with the fact that it can't really be described in words. You need to find one to ride for yourself. All your questions will be answered the first time you twist your wrist and and you feel that horse power. Who gives a shit what you can or can't see in your mirrors, the only thing back there is things you are leaving behind. Go get yourself a dog and live the experience. I, nor anyone else can really tell you how it is; it is something you need to experience yourself.

Oh and those vibrations you'll feel .......that is raw fucking power man, being pumped out by a bad ass V-twin and transfered to some awsome rubber hitting the road, if it makes your hands go numb maybe a machine like this isn't for you. Good luck!

My bike is having troubles, and vibrating, but I'm thinking mine is a mechanical issue.

As of normal vibrating? Not bad, at all. I use the stock mirrors and have them tightened up and I have no vibration in the mirrors. My hands and feet don't go numb either when my bike is running right :p
