Yeh Ray, give us an update! Did you decide to replace the heads? I was curious if that blowby on your valve was due to the TP rocker boxes and if your valve wore the guide uneven. Can you re-sleeve that valve guide for uneven wear or is the guide molded with the head itself? I still have the TP rocker boxes but see the S&S on ebay every now and then. Just wondering if it's worth the cost to go ahead and replace now before the heads have to be replaced. Good luck and thanks for all the pics along the way.
Hey guys, supposed to recieve the parts that I got from Little Boo (he's totally awesome) today.
His 06 heads will replace my 05 restricted heads and then my motor will breath a bit better. I will also get new lifter blocks and lifters.
Cylinders and pistons are in the shop getting cleaned up and new rings. Don't know yet whether I will need new pistons. Depends on how much they have to remove out of the cylinders. So anyway, in a holding pattern right now waiting on stuff. Don't worry I will be doing a complete "how to" on re-assembly as I put it all back together.
As for the tank........ Well don't know what I'm going to do with the broken vent tube. Going to try and use a sheet metal screw to hold it in place like MARV suggested to me.
Later I plan on spitting the tank (two year plan now) and expanding it some so I can get some more gas in it.
Should be putting it all back together by next Monday. Need to get it down cause I have a 3000 mile trip down to the Kern River Run and my brothers house in Palm Springs second week of September so will have to break in the new motor quickly which shouldn't be a problem.
Thanks to all for your support and help with all this. Also I'm pulling my starter and cleaning the contacts and lubing all the cables and of course re-wiring all my electrics with die-elecltic grease and shrink wrap as I've down before.
Will have lots of pics as usual.

Glad to hear its workin out !!!
Just got the parts in today. Little Boo went overboard sending my his 06 heads that have the red strip springs in them. Now just waiting on my local shop to finish boring the cylinders and fitting new rings.
Should be able to start putting it all back together Monday. Going to be in "Dog" heaven when it's completed.
