was coming home from and quickly went from running fine, to no resistance in my clutch. i have a 2007 pitbull. after about 8-10 miles, i had no resistance at all and had to trailer the bike home. where should i start?

Most likely your clutch hub nut came loose. First check the adjuster on cable, then the adjuster on the pulley cover on the right side to make sure that didn't somehow come loose, then open the primary.

Could also be your clutch cable busted. Check on that first before you take a stab at opening the primary to get to the clutch hub nut. Some on here have had the clutch cable bust or not bust but the cable Ferrel that is pressed on to the end of the cable slide or came off. This will also loose all tension to the clutch. Hope that helps

Carlos is right, sometimes it is easy to overlook the obvious. if the lever just flops around, strong possibility it is a broke cable. should have thought of that before, it happened to me about 400 miles ago.

Mine did it just over a month ago the first 50 miles after I installed easy pull clutch pack/ramp AND checked the clutch hub nut. Obviously I did not do such a hot job checking the nut-it came loose and left me stranded...had to have towed.
