I am putting my motor back together today and am adjusting pushrods for the

very first time. I did my rear exhaust first then my front exhaust and right now

I am waiting for it to bleed down. I noticed I have a lot more thread exposed on

the front pushrod. Is this ok or should I have the same amount of thread

showing on matching valves? These are TP pushrods at 18 flats. I just checked

and so far both spin after bleed down. Am I good? I am positive I didn't mix my

rods, I triple checked. Long for exhaust and short for intake.

CC I believe your pushrods should be of different lengths: Longest to shortest listed below, the pushrods should be fully collapsed when measuring lenghts.
Front exhaust being the longest of them all
Rear exhaust being the next longer
Front intake being the next
Rear intake being next - Shortest
Hope that helps, I think you should be good if you put them back in their original spots...

there is a sticky here that ray posted from s&s facebook.. one of the easiest ways to adjust your pushrods...use the search...off top of my head you need top dead center on compression stroke..easiest way to find is rotate tire untill you see dual movement of pushrods on front cylinder.. one up one down next for me i stick a straw in front cylinder just to make sure...then you should be able to adjust rear cylinder.bleed down...then do the same for the front...read it simple and to the point...as there are 2 top dead center..you want compression stroke...good luck..never noticed any huge dif in amount of threads showing...hope you got them in the right spots like brew mentioned...peace
