Questions on XXX Carb

In the process of ordering a XXX G carb, and Bob asked if I had the smaller valves in my bike. I have know idea. I've read that the earlier big dog's had smaller valves, does my 05 ridgeback fall in that category. Also, Bob asked if I had a map sensor on my manifold. I don't have any electrical connections to my manifold and didn't think it had a map sensor. Can you guys inform me on this as well?

Besides the G Carb, G Manifold, and G insulator block, is there anything else I will need for install?

Did you guys see a big difference in fuel consumption after switching from an e to a g?

The G manifold Part # is 16-2603?

aparently there are several...but that is the number i have for the G manifold...being an 05 you probably have the small valve EPA heads...restrictors in the manifold....and E series manifold and carb now...you probably also have the lower compression due to taller cylinders and the 569 cam...again all due to EPA changes....as far as mapping i dont think the 05 have that option...that would be on the later FI models...

All 05sI to my knowledge came with a .569 comp cam as well as E carbon with restrictor plates. This in closes the smaller valves. Later they figured this combo wasn't required and went back to the G carbs. There was an option to have the G carbon installed as well as the custom pipes BDM used made by Supertrapp

You'll need new intake gaskets

Good move!!! Done my 05 this past spring, runs great. 117 miles to a tank of gas, never checked before upgrading.
