Rear tire

I took my rear tire off for a good cleaning + to take it to the dealer to get a new tire put on. Major thanks to the people who posted about this in the recent past, it was so easy to get off. :2thumbs:

I also took off the pulley and the break disk. When I go to put the pulley and break disk back on, what type of loctite do I put on the bolts? What do I torque the bolts to? :flag:

My trusty 05 Manual states;

Brake rotor - 50 ft lbs (Torqued in a start sequence)
PUlley - 60 ft lbs (Torqued in a start sequence)

Rear Axle - 55 - 65 ft lbs

No mention of type of loctite.

:cheers:

Ok, in Chapter 10 pg 6 in the illustration it states to use "Loctite 277 Red" and to torque to 40 lbs then working up to 50 lbs and to ensure threads are cleaned well.

Also states that all bolts should be "primered" (there sp!) with "Loctite 7649 Primer N". Never heard or seen this stuff!!

Ray got it all... and you can do like me... chase the threads with a tap.
