question for the guys that dont give the dog a bath

o you live on a bug free planet or it there a dry cleaning method to remove them and not scratch the polished alluminum controls and tripple clamps thus requiring polishing everytime bugs get removed. I use water so the bugs can soak a bit for easy removal with 100% cotton diapers; but I hate it because it seems I can chamois the bike for hours and as soon as I take off water runs out from somewhere leaving a spot. I can stand water spots and prefer not to need to drag the polish out more than once ot twice a year.

I use (and sell) Stripper Juice which is a cleaner and polish in one. You can use it on your whole bike...paint, metal, leather, mirrors, etc. I don't like having a million steps and all the clutter...keep it simple! :2thumbs:
It also has a UV protectant and rust inhibitor and contains carnauba wax.

I use my Dewalt angle grinder with a notted wire wheel

I don't wash aything above the tank witha hose. Use the stripper juice.

Well i'l tell ya what i do, grab an old terry cloth bath towel, simple green, will take off any/everything on the dog.
Look at the bright side, the dog gets a cleaning and the other half will love you for a new supply of towels (Wally World)..........

A clean sled is a happy sled. I shine on my baby every day while rocking out, I shine on her everywhere and I mean everywhere. :2thumbs: I would bet money all the military people here shine more than the civilians and have cleaner machines. White glove inspections for my bike. I’m looking into air purifiers now to keep the dust off of her. :loony: Maybe being retired has something to do with it?

I have a small spray bottle I take with me on trips for touch ups....

It's not cheap but well worth it!! :2thumbs:

I use Spray and Shine for big stuff like bugs, Mothers or Meguires for getting the Aluminum to shine like chrome, and Stripper Juice for trips and touchups

WoW I must be extremely picky or you bought the wrong bike dude .

No I'm picky; so much so; I have chamois' dedicated to the bike, one for sleds and one for the vehicles and I don't let the wife touch polished or painted surfaces just to keep tha peace. My Dog never leaves the garage on a work day if there's a chance of rain. I don't want it sitting out in the rain while I'm on shift and after twice going to work a night shift in 70 deg temps to get off shift and ride home in a snow storm; the dog doesn't come to work until May and quits coming to work mid Sept.

I have toys to enjoy all seasons also. Any snowmobile owner can back me up that its tougher to keep the snowmobiles looking like I keep mine than keeping the dog shiny. Especially if you tow on an open trailer like I do. The sleds see road grime from melt off on warmer days.

The ski and trailer has to be washed after every use prevent cross contamination from diseases a species of fish in one lake might carry to another. Same with my quad and the wife's *RZR to prevent transport of noxious weeds into the national forests. This is a Montana Fish Wildlife and Parksv law. Then there's my Pick up and wife's Escape. I keep them and the toys cleaned and maintained she keeps the house clean.

Edit thanks for pointing the Stripper Juice out all. I'll be gettin some of that. KennyBob; I know all too well about the white gloves. Army Paratrooper with 63B1P as my MOS (Light Wheeled Vehicle Mech with Paratrooper Designation.) '88-'92.
