Folks, I need some help deciding about a new exhaust option. I've been looking at the Ambush and I certainly like the price point. I've read the only threads I could find and people seem to like them. They sound pretty awesome! They seem to have a few different options and I just don't know enough about exhaust to decide. They have the Ambush specific for customs LSD or RSD, step tuned with or without heat shields, and then they list a difference between performance and racing. What should I be looking for?

1st is pretty simple/ left side drive or right side drive model of BigDog? 2nd yes always get the heat shields if possible. Keeps the pipes looking good. You would want the Performance. Possibly with baffles if available. Ambush are some good pipes.

Well there are alot of pipes that will fit but some require a specific adapter plate to mount. What do you have on there currently?
Not even sure to be honest. They were on the bike when I made the purchase and they have no markings. They are in the style of the dual long shots and they do have the adapter plate but w/o the heat shields. I do think I have my mind set on the Ambush with the heat shields.
