Quality time with the Mastiff

Started yesterday with changing oil etc.
Put the K & P filter on that I had been saving for next service. Looks really good.

Noticed that the sissy bar was a little loose, first bolt tighten up some, second one snapped like a dry twig--shit.
Rode the super glide to my local indy for a bolt, always open-shit he was closed. Found a right size socket bolt at Lowes.

Decided that I just as well finish by up putting the cruise-mate on that I had been saving for a winter project. Wasn't going to bad until I broke the brake sensor wire off the board-shit-sob. Soldered the thing twice & still no brake light-shit. After searching this forum I figured out that I had pulled the sensor away from the magnet to far to work before the wire broke.

Still got the wire-plus to install, but that just might have to wait till next winter & the EHC aint broke yet.

Sounds like you are having fun. I broke a bolt in my sissybar last year and had to drill and ez-out the remaining bolt. Picked up some grade 8 bolts at the local store.

Getting to know your bike by taking it apart will benefit you in the long run. Enjoy

I feel for you. I just did the exact same thing when installing my cruise-mate, and I had no luck soldering the brake wire on the PC board. At the same time, I also discovered my throttle cable was badly frayed, so I guess some good came out of it anyway.

I knew I forgot something in all that--I also installed my extended forward controls that were sitting in the closet.
