Putting pipes back on

It looks like I'm going to have to take off the MeanMothers pipes to get to the clutch so I can adjust it. Do you guys put anything on the seals when you put the pipes back on...or do you put on new seals?

New seals. They are cheap and will prevent future problems. I buy them by the bag (since I go through so many pipes) from "Shovelhead" on eBay.

There are two types; The flat ones and the cone shaped ones. Many like the "Screaming Eagle" cone shaped ones but in my experience there compress too much and interfere with he opening. I like the simple flat ones and as Blitz as stated here before if you have a weak connection just double up on the seals.

are you talking about the gaskets? I found them a bit fiddly to get in as they are slightly larger than the opening and look like they could collapse - I've only done it once though and I guess the more you do it the easier it gets

Definitely replace the exhaust gaskets everytime. You need to push them in until they seat completely.

Yep...I get my gaskets from the same place. Cheap by the bag and peace of mind!

I don't think you do have to replace them everytime - depends what condition they are in - however... for the amount they cost, why not
