I have been reading everything I can find on this forum about EFI and pipes. Read posts from some people if you want just to put pipes on and ride then EFI is a good choice. Also, I read that the computer will fix some problems after putting after market pipes that the bike may have after riding it a 100 miles or so. I can't find anything about power commanders or anything to that nature on this forum. Ordered Hooker troublemaker darkside for my 08 K-9 EFI and plan on getting them Monday. Do you I need some kind of power commander or not.

No you don't need any other fuel management source.......Put the pipes on, get on the interstate or open road for about 30 miles or so and enjoy the ride. If the changes try to go outside the 20% learning ratio it will trip your engine light. Just take it to a BDM dealer and let them hook it up to their computer and tell you what is up. Corporate can get online and write the learned changes or make some of their own or load a updated map if they wish...
You can hook up to it yourself if you have a little computer savy and see any alarms you may have or look at the alarm history and so on.
