Push Rod Help

So I adjusted the push rods a couple of weeks ago, followed the video that I saw, and everything went good. Started the bike run great, no top end noise.
Did notice that the top covers of the push rod covers didnt go on like they were when I took them off, but they are on. It just didnt seem like they were on all the way.

So went down today and started the bike to just let it run and get warm, and oil is leking from all the push rods now. WTF ?

So any advice on this would help. How to fix, etc.
Motor seems to running great and no top noise, but just leaking oil now.

Probably need.to pull the covers and make sure the o rings aren't damaged. Then put them back on.just make sure the top is seated on the o ring before snapping in place.

Take the pushrod covers off and gently slide down the o-rings. Wipe them so they are dry and clean. Then carefully wipe the area that they are seated in and firmly push them back in place. It worked for me. I also had a tiny leak from mine.

You may have bent the covers very easy to do just pull them back off look over real good check o rings too if bent no worries carefully bend back in shape reassemble.

did you push the upper push rod tube back up into place before you put the clips back into place? (speaking from experience)

Didn't see any clips either when I took the covers off, they just poped off. Will look though, also going to order the manual from S&S, that way I have alot more info on this motor.
Really want to learn how to work on the bike myself, getting real tired or getting fucked over by shops

when referring to clips, this is the chrome cover that pops in place to hold the top half of the pushrod tube up in place. reach behind this cover and if you feel the pushrod, you didn't extend the pushrod tube into it's working position.

Adam, when you have the clips (chrome covers) off the pushrod tubes, the tubes will slide up and/or down. Remove the clips, slide the upper half of the cover down. There should be an o-ring on the top of the top cover and on the bottom of the bottom cover. Like already mentioned, clean the o-ring and the upper and lower "seats" that the o-rings fit into. When you push the upper half of the pushrod cover up, you will feel it pop into place. Make sure it stays in place as well as the bottom half while replacing the clip/cover. Also, inspect the o-ring for any damage. Even a flat spot can cause it to leak.
