Push Rod Collar Question

How hard is it to change out a push rod collar? I wanted to get some custom ones made and I did a search on here as well as looked on YoutTube to watch a video on changing them out (just the Collar) and didnt find anything. I dont want to take the whole thing apart and risk screwing up the push rod so if its a big deal I wont do it but figured Id ask here first with people who are more knowledgeable.

You will to loosen up the pushrods and take them out to do this...then ofcourse reinstall and adjust your pushrods

Unless you already have them installed you could purchase S&S Quickee Pushrods along with your custom collars. Otherwise you would need to pull the top end apart to remove the stock pushrods in order to install the new collar/tubes.

Yeah you can but like Mike stated you would have to pull the rocker box covers and the rocker arms if you wanted to keep the stock push rods

If your wanting to use quickee pushrods all you have to do is loosen up the stock pushrods and cut them with bolt cutters so you dont have to pull the rocker lids and arm then install the quickee pushrods and the pushrod covers..
