Hey all. I did some shopping around and I believe I got a pretty good deal. Less than the $292 I paid a few years ago for the set. In case anyone was in the market for some new skins. This my second set.bike tires order edited.jpg

Nice find there, I wonder if they have my size? lol. I think its 130-70-23 could be 130-60-23 or 130-90-23??? Can't remember and a 250-40-18 in the rear. But I've heard those tires are better than the Avon tires, not sure how true it is tho.

Ive had these tires for about 3 years now. I powerbrake the hell out the rear and I ride at least every weekend too. Great mileage and sticks well wet or dry. What sold me on them was I found out that Shinko has been making racing tires for years. Good enough to race on, good enough to cruise on. Just do a Google, Amazon and ebay search for your sizes.

I just put a 300 on the back of my K9. I have about 400 miles already and it handles great. I'm sure its mostly because the outgoing Avon was flattened out from wear, but the new tire feels great. I paid $200 from MotoSport.com. I'm *really* hoping to get WAY more than the 4K I got from the Avon.

Just got mine today.
I'm going to need new tires next year, and I really like the look of Shinkos. Do you run the recommended pressure in the rear? On the avons, I've found that 36, instead of the recommended 42 is better for both ride comfort and mileage. Does this hold true for the Shinkos?

Same deal with the Shinko's. I run 36 to 38 in my 300 depending on load...rides good and the wear is good too.

My last Avon was down to the cords at 4,000 miles. Put the Shinko on about a month and 400 miles ago. Handling is great. Per recommendations here, I have around 34 - 36 PSI now. I only weigh 150, so lower pressure makes sense for comfort and wear.

Front is a brand new Avon. It was so difficult to put back on I hope i lasts a *really* long time.
