If your ride it, you'll eventually scrape your primary and the chrome will start peelng. That's when I switched to open. Little bit of polish makes it look brand new. Loved the look and the sound. Never got my boot or pants stuck in it... Theres plenty of styles that fit your LSC. Do a search and decide. I went with Primo

The Baker open primary has the heavy duty dog bone and that helps reduce the stress on the transmission which means that your transmission won't get as much ware and will last longer before you have to rebuild it. I have the Baker open primary on my bike and I also had one on my 05 Chopper and I love them I have never had any trouble with them and it's one less thing that you have to service.

There not hard if you can find one that is made for your bike. The one I'm running is an Ultima. Ultima doesn't make one for a 03 BD Chopper. I had to do some machining to get it to fit.

Ok, here's the first picture that wouldn't show up.

The problems you will have is, shoe laces, pant legs, small dogs and children, and this picture of what happens when a rock gets in it.

The Baker open primary only has a 2" Kevlar reinforced belt I ride my bikes very hard and I have only put a few light scratches in them that polished out with no problems. I am running the same belt and I have nearly 8,000 miles on it my chopper has a little over 12,000 so I guess if you choose a open primary other than the one that was built to for our bikes then you might run into some problems. So far the Baker has been problem free.

wow do not get much lean to the left
Because I use to dragging my pegs when I ride, when I first put it on I hit it had enough to break one of the bolts. My kick stand is mounted in front of it, and folds up under it. I now have a skid plate on my kick stand, so I can tell how close I'm getting to the road. I can't quite drag a peg, but I don't have any problems in the left turns.
