Just started the dog for the first time since December and my primary seems to be making more noise then ususal I took it for a ride to let it warm up but it still chatters a little

Is it because it is cold out and the oil is thick?

Be careful that the nut on the compensator shaft hasn't come loose. Mine did and was occassionally hitting up against the cover. I would pull the inspection cover at the chain adjuster and see if there is any axial play in the chain out at the engine output shaft area. If you get axial play, could be trouble. When mine came loose it was loose enough it caused the stator cover to touch off agaist the stator coils. You don't want that. It creates a real mess and you'll be replacing the stator coils and cover. Good luck.:2thumbs:

I rode for 15 minutes and I already been there done that with the clutch hub nut last year I am familiar with that noise, it was about 50 degrees out like I said the noise did go away a bit after it was ridden

It's not because the oil is thick. Start with the easy stuff first: Primary fluid, then check the chain, then remove the primary cover if needed and go from there.
