Clutch

What did you find out about your locked up clutch?
Took the primary cover off took the plates off and they looked find. The nut is tight and no metal shavings. I'm going to put everything back together and fill the primary oil back up. I'm using LUCAS 20 50 HP motorcycle.
I guess I'll try to adjust the clutch and go from there. Thanks for asking by the way

So is the clutch locked up yet?

Did you try to roll the bike while in gear while the primary was off and clutch pulled in?

When you pull the clutch lever, do you see the clutch pack disc move?

I did roll the bike while in gear and the discs move as well. The clutch isn't locked up so I'm hoping it's just the clutch adjustment.
What do you think?

Adjust the clutch, it's all that's left to try.

Could be because your primary was so low on oil it may have been causing the clutch to drag due to no oil between plates and discs.

I wood never use a manufactures oil cause they want your stuff to brake be it Harley Yamehaw or Hunda thats how they make service money..Harley bids there oil out and buys the cheepest they can I have always used Automatic Transmission fliud in the primary cause the clutches like it and its red so you can tell if it is a Primery or transmission leak besides all its reely doing is lubing a chain

I have a 2000 BD Wolf with a 107 c.i TP engine. I bought it new. What should I set my gap at for spark plugs? Been setting at .032 however read somewhere it should be .040

And If I read the post correctly, Automatic Trans fluid is ok to use in my primary? Live in a small town so parts and fluids are very limited.

Hey people, the only thing the oil in your primary is for is to lube your chain. It is not for the clutch. you can run the clutch in an open primary, which uses no fluid.
