Primary Drive Chain inspection question.. Rookie in need of help!

Happy Holidays To all,

I decided to change my oil on my bike. the bike has 2500 miles and i noticed some shavings on the inside the primary drive is the normal? also the clutch basket has some play??
please remember i am new to this choppers

117 ss baker 6
300 rear

"some" shavings is normal from the clutches but if you are talking about larger shavings, that could be a problem and referring to the slack in the clutch basket, with it being an '05, there was a problem with the design of the original basket that was used from '05-early '07. (they would break) there was a recall/replacement campaign for that problem but since the company is no more it will be on you to fix it, if that is the problem.
you will need to pull the clutch and check to see if you still have the old style if you do not know for certain. if it is broken you will know when you look at it. if it is, the preferred replacement is the bandit bruiser clutch. much better than OEM and not quite as much tension to pull.

no you need to take your clutch off and see if its broken!! if it brakes and you are riding it you can do even more damage!!! And possibly hurt yourself!!

i thought the same thing, moe, then i saw how loose the mounting bolt was and i figured he had removed it for some reason (reason for major slack in the chain) and just had not re-installed it yet. hope so, anyway.
