Primary case noise, 2001 ProSport with 107 TP motor

You guys have been phenomenal in the past with your knowledge and willingness to help. I thought I would try again.

I'm getting a "Squeaking" noise out of the Primary case when I let up on the throttle (which isn't often) and from my experiences with Harley Davidson this means a new tensioner and clutch hub bearing. Clutch has been working great, smooth and no slipping, and I changed the primary oil at 10K (shortly after I got the bike) with a conventional oil, so I'm thinking this is more of "How I drive" then any thing else.

You guys have any insights on this

Best places to buy parts, and which parts. I'm going to be getting the clutch spring depression tool too for my shop while I'm at it

Ya sure its the primary? 4 shits n giggles rub a bar of soap on the edges of ur belt n go for a ride. See if the squeek goes buh bye. Rear pully can make noise when worn.

Like Harry said. Most of the time a squeak when you let off the throttle, it caused by a worn drive pulley. Show us a close up picture of the teeth.
If you're sure it's coming from the primary, it may be the compensator spring is broken.

You can also get a squeak when the top motor mount bolt is loose, i'd check that too, maybe first since its the easiest thing out of what has been suggested.

That, and loose gas tank mount.

Mine did that. It turned out to be worn rear drive pulley. Pulley matched the wheel and replacements were not to be found. Sent mine to Supermax for an overlay and couldn't have been happier.
